Caza's Book Club

This is my blog where I can write about writing about my stories and my corsets.
Well, does this mean I've arrived? One of my stories has been published on Gromet's Plaza:

http://www.dollstories.net/storiesad/dolly_case.html

OK, so I'm really quite excited - I've read stuff on Gromet's Plaza for quite a while now and never dreamed of actually having one of my stories up there! I know, its not exactly a Booker prize, but hey, I'm a happy girl

So welcome anyone who's come from Gromet's - I announce new stories on my blog and my group in Second Life, but they are quite infrequent. Anything I think warrants it I'll submit to Gromet to publish there.

But please do get in contact either by email or in SL - I'd love to hear from you

Love to everyone

Ok, so you've heard this before, but yes, very soon, hopefully tonight (UK time) there will be a new story. Some final editing and proof reading to do, and then it will be up in the usual place.

So, apologies, dear readers, for the delay - life has just been too busy in recent weeks to concentrate on the writing, but that should hopefully now change and I will be able to write more of the stories that I love.

But please, do send me feedback - what you like, what you don't like. What you like to see more, or less, of. I'd love to know who's reading, and how you found me

Love

Caza

I know I've not posted anything new recently - life's too busy, but just to let you know that something is in the works.... hopefully it'll be better than my first attempt at breadmaking :)
Hey everyone,

There's a new story up on my story site - sorry for the long gap in publishing, but I've been a bit ill and a few more bits of real life interfering. Its call "Encapsulation", and is quite short.

My next desire is to work on something a bit longer with more substance to it, but I'll have to see where the writing takes me.

Enjoy, twisted reader, and do please let me know if you like my stories (or even if you don't)

"They're just words", said the woman on the train. It's an interesting observation. I'm on the train, at Gatwick Airport, and have just finished Dolly Case, which I'll publish tonight. We pulled into the station here, and people started getting off. Lots of people, lots of luggage. Slowly. More like sluggishly, not rushing, seemingly not realising that the train was going onwards. The way out was blocked, as was the way in with people pulling their luggage off the racks and collecting themselves. Someone next to me - she looked like she worked for the airport - said "Hurry up, or you'll miss it!" in a loud and commanding voice. Suddenly there was wild activity, cases being pulled along with urgency and direction. 30 seconds later there was a pile of people on the platform with their luggage. Another woman said "thanks" to the lady who'd galvanised all this movement, but she replied "They're just words." Words which cause action, stop people missing getting off the train, and therefore missing their planes. Words which mean someone can get past and go find a seat.

I write words which have an effect on people, I hope. They bring pleasure, excite and provide release. But they are just words. My words only come to life when they interact with another human. When they get into your brain, mix with what is already in there, and cause you to imagine the world I'm describing, cause you to identify with the characters in the story. But, they're just words.

Dear reader,

Hi, my name is Caza Savira. OK, so that's not my real name - it's my Second Life name. If you don't know what Second Life is, then go to www.secondlife.com and start reading there, though only if you really want to know. You don't have to. Really.

So what is this blog for? I appear to have started writing, fiction, and wanted a platform to post news about it - I'm still deciding whether to limit publishing within Second Life, which means you'll need to be signed up to read it, or to publish it here, but I'll certainly announce stuff here.

So, who am I in Real Life (as we jokingly call it). My name is Caroline, I'm 28, live in the UK, am short and have red hair. That's about all I'm going to say, I guess 'cos of the nature of my fiction, I'd rather not tell you anything else about me, for fear that it may affect those around me. Not that my girlfriend objects, in fact, she rather enjoy's it. She can be my worst critic. But maybe that's why I love her so. But I digress.

My first work is called "Mansion Girls", involves alot of corsets and bondage. You can find it at: http://sites.google.com/site/cazasbookclub where you'll also find "Hooked"

If you do read it, and enjoy it (or not), please do let me know - drop me a notecard or a comment here.
